Filthy, double booked, unresponsive staff, no heat, grossly over-priced for what it is

Our third booking on this trip to Nepal and for the first time in many years, we picked up our bags and left. We arrived at the front desk, with a confirmed pre-paid booking for the apartment (multi-room suite) and several follow-up emails from the property, to be told that the room we booked was occupied by a "long-term" guest. The staff at the desk was confused and whispering back and forth to each other offered us alternative hotel rooms, that would have been cheaper to book with no offer of a refund. After complaining they offered us an alternative "apartment" saying that the party that had reservations for it hadn't arrived yet and they would displace them for us. The apartment they offered us was nothing close to what we had reserved. No staff on-site seemed to be in-charge. In just several minutes we identified a number of issues: It was "prepped" as in the beds were made, but the apartment was not clean. Surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom were grimy, dusty and greasy. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. There was no heat or source of heat. The temperature in the apartment was about 10 - 12 degrees there were no radiators or any kind of space heaters. There were opened packages of food left in the kitchen We booked this place because we needed a family sized room and there weren't many alternatives. It took only 5 minutes to accumulate a laundry list of issues that together were enough to force the decision drag our luggage and kids back out onto the street at 6 PM and find an alternative on short notice.

Theme designed boutique resort cum studio apartment, providing a cozy and comfortable stay within the city. Ample room space, peaceful, huge garden for born-fire, and a friendly but professional people. Had an awesome time there.

incredible hotel. the meet and greet service at the Nomad's is well worth the price. they take you through a priority.Cozy room with furnished room is waiting for you when you arrive at the hotel . the concierge does all the paperwork in your room. rooms are incredible; modern but classic. fantastic experience.
